SPRINGFIELD – More Pioneer Valley homeowners are losing their homes to mortgage foreclosure despite the federal Making Home Affordable program designed to keep them in their homes.
“There was a lot of talk about loan modifications,” said Justin H. Dion, an assistant professor of law at Bay Path College who also practices law with Bacon Wilson in Springfield. “In my experience, it’s just been a failure. The banks are still not equipped to handle the onslaught of people seeking loan modifications.”
